Vegas with Celine
My friends and I had a girls trip to Las Vegas a few weeks ago to go to the Celine Dion concert. It was amazing!! Her voice is unbelievable and and the whole show was just so great. Me, Annie, Dannielle, Priscila, Lindsay, and Brooke all went down together just for the weekend and had so much fun. We basically shopped til we dropped and ate more than we should have! But it was well worth it. Thanks girls for such a fun trip!

ICE STORM
So while everyone was in Utah enjoying some fun snow this past weekend, Nate and I were in Nebraska experiencing our first ice storm! Many of you probably have not heard of an ice storm before, but it was pretty cool. I still don't really understand how it works or why it happens, but I guess something with the air pressure and temperature. All I know is instead of rain turning into snow when it gets really cold (like normal places) it remains water until it makes contact with something on the ground and instantly freezes. We woke up at my dad's house Saturday morning to everything covered in ice. The trees, the grass, cars, roads, and everything else outside. We were worried that we were going to lose power and water but luckily we didn't. I guess the ice covers the power lines and weighs them down causing power outages. We had to use the car in the garage because the cars that were outside were completely frozen shut! We were fascinated with it! Nate and Mitch tried to de-ice the car by pulling pieces of ice off but it was too frozen. I tried to take some pictures but it was kind of difficult to get the full effect. I just thought I'd share this unique piece of information about nature!
This is a pine tree up close. Every single little needle was covered with ice. you could pull like a tube off each needle!

The whole tree. Look close and you can see how the ice just covers each little part of the tree.
Good thing the cat was in the garage that night!!!

Flash Back!
Halloween Party!
Ok Ok... it's about time I make a posting about this years killer Halloween party! I know everyone has had their posts up about it for awhile now, but I'm a little slower. Sorry! Anyway, this years party was another success. The costumes were so great, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with next year. Thank you everyone for all your help. I hope everyone had a great time. Dinner turned out yummy and our "Adam's Family" game was hilarious! Nothing beats jamming out to music though. :) Until next year...

Witches Night Out!!!
Last Friday us girls got together and went to "Witches Night Out" at Gardner Village. It was so fun being together and being so festive! We had planned on eating at the restaurant there but had no idea there'd be a 4 hour wait! So we ditched the fun village and headed to another restaurant. We were all starving and everywhere was packed, so we ended up settling for Chili's. It was just fun being together and chatting. Priscila and I got plenty of looks with our tights at Chili's. I couldn't believe the turn out at Gardner Village. I had no idea that many crazy ladies would be there. It's a really fun atmosphere though and everyone should go! I wanted to dance the night away to the music but my stomach thought otherwise. Maybe next year eating first and then hitting up the crazy village!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy To Me!
So last Tuesday was my big 23rd Birthday. Thanks to my family it lasted a whole week! It started when my mom and Dennis flew in from St.George on Friday the 28th to take me to dinner and shopping. We got together with Mitch and Janna for dinner Friday night and then my mom made me the best birthday cake ever, molten chocolate! Saturday my mom and I went to Old Navy and got some great clothes. (I love cheap clothes!) Sadly they had to leave Saturday but it was so good to spend time with them. Thanks Mom and Dennis!
Then on my birthday I unfortunately had to work all day. :( But after work Nate and I went to Market Street for dinner then to Cold Stone for ice cream, my favorite. I just relaxed the rest of the night with a great back rub from my loving husband. Nate got me a ticket to go see Celine Dion with my friends in December, yahoo! Throughout the day I received so many calls and texts from friends and family saying "Happy Birthday". Thank you everyone for thinking of me, it really meant a lot. Everyone always loves the good ol' singing birthday message!
My birthday was then continued this last weekend over conference with Nate's family. We went to their home in Eden to kick back and watch conference. I always love spending time up there with my cute nieces! I think I gained 10lbs from all the food we ate though. We ate some great cobbler in celebration of my birthday and I got some really yummy perfume!
I just want to say thanks to everyone for making my birthday so great! I'm so lucky to have such great friends and family! Love you all...

Nebraska!
Nate and I took a trip back to Nebraska along with Mitch and Janna to visit family. We had so much fun just hanging out with everyone and enjoying family company. We went to my sister's volleyball game one night and a University game another night. It was so fun to see Paige in action! I could never do what she does! Thanks to my aunts and uncles, Nate and I were able to go watch UNL's girls volleyball team play. They are an amazing team! I would have never thought Nate and I could have so much fun at volleyball game. We thought the girls would be tall but we underestimated them. A lot of them were around 6'5 and when you get girls that tall together it's a little weird. I felt incredibly small! Just check out the picts and you'll understand.
We also found time to fit in some golf of course! We went one day with my dad and another day with my grandparents. There's nothing like golfing in humidity! It really makes me appreciate the weather we have here in Utah!
It was so fun spending time with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, parents, and siblings! Thanks everyone for such a good time. We look forward to the next time!

Paige had homecoming!
Doesn't it make you miss the days of fun dresses and dancing!
She looked beautiful!
Golfing with my two favorite people!

So this is Sarah Pavan, she was All American last year over all women's college sports. She's an amazing athlete and extremely tall! We tried to snap a picture with her.
Nate ended up getting one. Don't they make a stunning couple!
This was at Paige's volleyball game.

I'm Posting...
Okay, Okay.... yes believe it or not I'm posting! Yahoo! Sorry to all my fellow bloggers out there for not posting for a month. I know my blog has been pretty lame but my life isn't THAT interesting. So to make you all happy I'm just posting a somewhat lame post...
This has been one of the reasons why I haven't had time to post anything... Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse! Yes, I gave into the book that everyone and their dog is reading. When I heard the word "vampire" I wasn't that excited, but let me tell you I have a whole new perspective on "vampires" now! :) Especially one's named Edward!!! Wouldn't it be great if we all had husbands like Edward? I have been totally obsessed with these books and they've been pathetically consuming my life. I'm just about to start Eclipse but Nate is giving me reading restrictions! ha ha... Seriously though he told me I can only read when he's not home or when he's busy watching a game or something, because I'm not giving him enough attention. I feel bad because I know he's right so it might take me more than a couple of days to finish Eclipse but I'm excited! I don't know what I'm going to do when I finish. So if any of you have read any other great books lately let me know cause I might be interested in reading them too! (oh I tried to make my blog different by making it fall colors... ugly???)

Eden with Friends!
Okay, so a couple of weekends ago Brooke and Jake were so kind to have us all up to their home in Eden. (For those of you who don't know it's a small town by Pineview Res.) It was such a blast! We all met up there on Friday night and stayed up late roasting marshmellows, talking, messing around, and playing Zip Bong! Nate killed us all at the game cause his face is so hilarious when he plays (check out the pic). The next day we hit the lake and went wakeboarding, skiing, and my personal favorite kneeboarding! The boys played around on the golf course while us girls went walking and relaxed. We all had such a great time being together and catching up!
(Well I must hurry and publish this post because the Hills premier is about to begin!!! Yahoo! Hopefully it's a good one!)

Priscila's Birthday!!!
August 1st was Pris's big day, her birthday that is. If you know Priscila very well you know birthdays are VERY important to her. So of course we had a blast celebrating it like we do every year! :) This year we went out to dinner the night before to Porcupine with just the girlies. Then we joined her family for a Brazilian bash the night of her birthday at her mom's house. We had a lot of fun getting together as usual.

Lindsay's Wedding
I've been meaning to put this on here but I just haven't had time. So I'm putting it on now even though it was awhile ago. One of my best friends Lindsay got married June 20th to Jeff Snow who is also a great friend. The day went perfect! We attended a dinner held the night before at Millcreek Inn, which I had to speak at and was so nervous for, but everything went smoothly. Lindsay looked beautiful the day of the wedding of course and so did the whole wedding party. She had a huge wedding party full of friends and family. The reception was a blast! They had great food and lots of fun dancing!

Our New Home!
In May Nate and I were successful in moving into our first home! We lived with Nate's family while it was being built which was a blast, but we are excited to be on our own again. Our home and neighborhood is so much fun, we love it! We're still getting settled but we are having fun doing it. We can't wait for more of the community to be developed, such as the pool! But in the meantime we're enjoying the lake and trails. Daybreak is a fun new community with lots of new ideas. Here is a slide show I put together of some pictures of inside our house. This is for all of my family members out of state who want to see my house but are too cheap to come see it in person! ;) Ha Ha just kidding. But there is an empty bed waiting for guests, so come visit!!! Love you all and hope you get a feel of what our house is like.
HAWAII!!!
*(Is it a rock? Is it a fish?- check it out!)*
After going on a great cruise with just the two of us we were fortunate to be taken to Hawaii with Nate's family. We went for Bobbie's 50th birthday in April (Nate's mom). It was so much fun! We went snorkeling with turtles, laid out by the pool and beach, golfing, and went to a really cool aquarium. The weather was perfect and of course the trip went by way too fast. Maui is beautiful!!!
