NO DEAL!!!

For those of you who know me, you know I've been obsessed with the show Deal or No Deal. I've always said I was going to audition for the show cause I think I could win some major money. Well a little over a year ago I filled out all the papers to try out but I never made a video to send, so the papers have just been sitting in my room. I found out this past week that I could have my chance at last at an RC Willey audition on Saturday. I got all pumped up and determined to get on the show. Unfortunately it didn't go as I planned...
My sister-in-law (Annie) and my mother-in-law agreed to go stand in line with me to show their support and give me some company. I expected a lot of people to be there but it blew my mind once we got there with how many people were actually there! We waited outside, then we waited inside, we took steps, we sat on our stools then after waiting from 10 a.m to 4:45 p.m we finally reached the front of the line. We waited for almost 7 HOURS! I still can't believe I was there that long. There were many times I was about to give up but Annie helped me press on. In the hours of waiting I convinced Annie to try out with me since she was there anyway and we also convinced our friend Sara Liddell to come butt in line with us and try out too. Sara joined us for our last hour of waiting. It was nice to have some new fresh energy to feed off of cause I was looking pretty dead by this time. So the anticipation was killing us as we got closer and closer. Our nerves were running high and we felt the pressure! Once the guy said "You're up" to us this is what happened...
Ten people (including me, Annie, and Sara) went running up to a table where a guy was standing on the other side. We had filled out a paper earlier and set it down in front of us and remained standing all 10 together facing the guy. He told us we had 20 seconds each to tell him about ourselves. He pointed to the first person and said "go"! Each person went down the line talking as fast as they could trying to be enthusiastic, fun, and memorable. I really thought us three didn't do too bad, besides the fact that while each person was talking the guy that was supposed to be listening was looking all over and not at us. He looked like could care less about what we had to say and wasn't even really listening! It made us so mad! It all happened so fast and it was over just like that. He told all of us to go out the exit and asked one old dirty guy in our group to stay for the next round. We hung our heads and went out the exit. :(
I really can't believe I stood in line that long for those lame 20 seconds. I also can't believe none of us even made it passed the first round! But I guess I can say at least I tried now. I guess I'm not the girl for the show after all. It was an experience I'll never forget. Oh and I'm so bitter that I'm boycotting the show and not supporting it anymore (or at least for awhile)!

This was our sad pathetic faces after not making it! I wish I had a picture of crowd of people waiting but my camera died.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

My prediction was right after all IT'S A GIRL!!!!! We are seriously so excited! Nate and I ran to the mall with our moms right after to get some cute girlie outfits. We all thought it was a girl for some reason so it wasn't a huge surprise but it was still so fun to see for sure. It was so incredible to see her little body and to see her moving so much. She's definitely an active one! She gave us some great pictures though. From her profile shot we can already tell she has Nate's cute little nose! It's just so crazy. She looks very healthy and strong, which makes us very happy! The doctor said I'd be able to feel her move pretty soon and I can't wait for that to happen!!!
For all of you who have been asking how I'm doing... I've been so great! Really, these past 4 months have been a breeze. I'm very lucky that I haven't gotten too sick. I use to get really tired but I'm past that now and feeling better each day. My belly is growing little by little but I'm still just waiting for it to pop!
I'm so excited to start shopping and to start doing my nursery! If any of you have any cute ideas for a little girls nursery let me know. I want to do something fun.

Here are a few pictures of our little girl!

I thought this was pretty cool of her whole spine

It's so comforting to see all 5 little fingers!

If any of you know what Nate's nose looks like, you can really tell in this picture that she has it!

Boy or Girl???

So recently my mind has been racing about the idea if we're having a boy or girl! So I may be stupid and crazy but I've done about every urban legend test there is to predict what I'm having. Here are the results:

Chinese Lunar Calendar: Girl
Heartbeat: Girl (hey this one the doctor told me!)
Dangling a pin above my wrist: Girl
Dangling my wedding ring above my tummy: Girl
Last but not least my favorite...

The Drano and pee test: Boy (maybe girl)

This one is hard because most say green means boy but some say it means girl. Even though the result of this test wasn't very clear it was by far the most fun to do! Sara joined me in performing the test. We couldn't stop laughing it looked like a science experiment. Sara's went crazy bubbling over the top and turning immediately black! (which means a boy) As you can see in the picture below mine wasn't as dark it was more of a green color. But it was fun to see the different reactions. By the way if anyone is worried about us smelling the toxic fumes, since every site says not to perform this test while pregnant, don't worry we had Bobbie (the conductor of the experiment) put in the Drano and we stayed a good distance back. But if anyone ever does want to do this test I would recommend plugging your nose, it STINKS!

So the question is... Could all the tests be true? Could I be having a girl? Unfortunately I don't have any motherly instinct whether it's a boy or girl, heck I can barely tell I have anything in there at all let alone the sex of it! Has anyone else performed any of these test and they've been true? What's your prediction? I'd have to say girl for me based on the tests! The question will be answered next week, when I go to fetal photos and get a LEGITIMATE test done to confirm the sex!

Cabo!

Nate and I went to Cabo for a week with my brother Mitch and his girlfriend Janna. It was so nice to get away from the cold snow and into the warm sun!!! I can't wait for summer, I really am so done with the cold. It was a very relaxing weekend! We didn't too too much, just relaxed by the beach and pool which was just what I needed. We went out on a catamaran one day and cruised by lovers beach and the famous arch. It was SO pretty! We also saw some whales and seals. I really wanted to swim with dolphins but they would attack my belly because they can sense the baby! Crazy huh? So that idea was out. We had a great time though. I was sad to get back to work and our regular daily lives. Who knows when our next getaway like that will be with a baby on the way!

Expecting...

Well most of you already know but for those of you who don't.... SURPRISE! I'M PREGO!!! Nate and I found out just after Christmas and it was the best present we could have asked for. We are so excited we can hardly take it. I'm 11 weeks along and due September 1st, which seems so far away but not at the same time. I better not be too early because I have Priscila's wedding to be in August 29th and I'm NOT missing it! Can you imagine what a beautiful bridesmaid I'll be??? ha ha I'm so excited to become a mom and have a little one running around. I'll keep the blog updated with the pregnancy, but don't expect any naked tummy pictures from me! :)

Long Overdue

So I know Christmas and New Years seems like a long time ago (because it was) but I'm going to post about it anyway. Nate and I had a wonderful, fun Christmas this year. It was so fun decorating our new home and getting our first real Christmas tree. We actually went and cut it down ourselves. It was quite the experience. We named our tree Junior because it wasn't big and full like all the other trees you see. I guess you could say we got kind of a "Charlie Brown" tree. We loved it though. I was a little sad that we didn't get to hang any lights on our house because Nate had a broken foot, but we made the trees and walkway look fabulous. We had a great time spending Christmas with the Whitney's and then with my family the weekend after. I love the holidays because you get to spend so much time with family and friends. We rang in the new year this year with all of our great friends. It was fun just playing games and eating food. I'm so thankful for all of my friends and family! I hope everyone had great holidays. Happy (late) New Year Everyone!!!
